My Statement of Annuity Paid form shows federal income tax withheld in Box 4, not 2. Is there a discrepancy.

This is an OPM Retirement annuity. The system shows Box 2 as the place to enter federal income tax withheld. My form shows it in Box 4, not 2.

You should have a 1099-R to report the Annuity.

The Federal withholding is correctly entered in Box 4.

To post a 1099-R

Log into TurboTax

  1. Under Federal
  2. Select Wages & Income
  3. Scroll to Retirement Plans and Social Security
  4. Select IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
  5. On the screen Let's import your tax info
    1. Change how I enter my form
  6. On screen How would you like to upload your 1099-R?
    1. Type it myself
  7. Enter your Broker or plan administrator information.
  8. Follow the interview.

Where do I enter my 1099-R?
