I don't know where to show the 1099-misc form, all I can get is the 1099R. Where can I find it?

Why exactly did you receive a 1099-MISC?

I received it because I am a GM retiree and it is for money the have shown as payment for UAW legal services.  they sent me a 1099 Misc and Turbotax doesn't show me how to get their 1099-Misc form. they keep saying that the Feds have revived a different form and will not show me how to get eithr form.  The new form is for someone self employed.

1099-Misc entered under Wages and Income > 1099-Misc and Other Common Income > Income from Form 1099-Misc (fourth item under 1099-Misc and Other Common Income .

The 1099-MISC would be entered under Income and Expenses.   

 

• Click on the Income and Expense tab at the top of the screen.
• Scroll down the page to Other Common Income.
• Click on the Show More button next to Other Common Income.
• Click on the Start button next to Form 1099-MISC.
• Click Continue and answer the questions.

When you have finished answering the questions, you will have entered your 1099-MISC.
