How do I handle a catchup backdoor roth contribution? I contributed the max for 2020 and 2021 in the year of 2021. But didn't enter anything in my 2020's 8606.

I contributed the max for 2020 and 2021 in the year of 2021. But didn't enter anything in my 2020's 8606. For the 2021 return can I sort out the 2020 and 2021 returns? Or do I need to amend my 2020 tax return to capture this? In 2021 it looks as if I contributed $12,000 to my roth IRA with $6,000 being part of the conversion and $6,000 being incremental. I am a bit lost and will appreciate the help.

You will need to file an amended return for 2020 to report the Traditional IRA contribution and the Roth conversion.  To amend your 2020 return in TurboTax, see the following TurboTax Help article:  How to amend (change or correct) a return you've already filed.
