What do I do if my refund is late and I chose up to 5 days early refund delivery, Refund Advance, or Pay with My Refund?

If your refund is late and you chose up to 5 days early refund delivery, Refund Advance, or Pay with My Refund, issues with direct deposit are the most likely reasons for the delay.

When you choose one of these options, your tax return will come from one of TurboTax’s partner banks instead of the IRS. If TurboTax was unable to deposit your refund into your bank account, the partner bank will send a paper check.

If you didn’t receive your refund (direct deposit or paper check), we can resend your check. Call TurboTax at 800-4INTUIT to request a new check. Receiving your new check can take up to 3 weeks because we void the outstanding check and issue a new one once it clears.

If you've moved to a new address after filing your taxes, we can't issue a new check. This help article has more info on how to update your address.

If we can’t expedite your refund at least 1 day early before the refund settlement date provided by the IRS, you won't be charged for up to 5 days early refund delivery.
