Live in TX but have a rental property in MN; net income on the rental per my federal return was a loss (-5K); I know I have to file but do I have to pay MN state taxes?

I know that I have to file but when I go through the federal says "$0" so I assume that I attribute "$0" to MN correct?

Yes, you have to file a MN nonresident income tax return if your MN gross income is $10,650 (Gross rents from MN property). See MN nonresident filing requirements.
