I think I may have lost my data on my rental property from prior year returns based on responding that I sold the rental in 2017. Can I restore it?

The only way to import the data again is to start over from scratch. On the Tools menu select the "clear and start over" option. This will delete everything you've already entered for your 2017 taxes and start you from the beginning where you can again import from your 2016 tax return. There is no other way.

If anyone had not started the tax return, it could be fixed by:

I went back to my prior year when this happened to me and found that I had checked that the property was SOLD by accident.  This check box for whether it was sold in that tax year is in the Step-by-Step instructions under Property Profile.  I opened the prior year return in the prior year Turbo Tax, and I deselected this checkbox and saved.  Then I transferred this updated file to the current year, and the property showed up.

@laustinlife Just so you know....you have been posting essentially the same thing to several old threads---none of which has been posted to in more than a year, and one that might be years old.   Pay more attention to the date on the thread before you post to it----your post is unlikely to be seen by the original poster when you reply to such old threads.
