How do I report sale of stock options when I don't have a 1099-B?

what it says... in this case I sold options but not stock and do not have a form 1099-B. the money came my way in a wire payment after the deal was signed

I saw this thread with a similar question from a couple years ago, but the advice appears out of date -- it says you will be asked whether you have the form or not, but I'm not being asked and can find no way to move ahead without the form itself.

If you didn't receive a 1099-B, in the Investments section under Wages & Income, in TurboTax Online, choose 'Stocks' and continue as if you had a 1099-B.

Choose 'short-term' or 'long-term, did not receive 1099-B' whichever applies, under 'Sales Section' and 'Options' under 'type of investment'.

Save documentation for the Cost Basis/Sales Proceeds amounts you enter.

Here's more info on Investment Sales without 1099-B.
