Get your taxes done using TurboTax

To fix TurboTax error 6-399-259 (which indicates a Form 8962/1095-A calculation error), you can try the following:

• Delete your Form 1095-A and Form 8962 and re-enter your data (see instructions below).
• Try clearing your cache and cookies.  Click here for How to clear your cache. Click here for How do I delete cookies?
• Try using Incognito mode to resolve these "stuck" calculations. 
• If you are using the TurboTax Free Edition, you will have to upgrade to TurboTax Deluxe to support these forms. How do I upgrade to a different TurboTax Online product?
• Check your Form 1095-A entries.  You can easily get to these by clicking on your Search icon, typing "Form 1095-A" into the search bar and clicking on the link "Jump to Form 1095-A"

To delete your Form 1095-A  (and Form 8962) you will follow the steps listed below.:

1. If you are using TurboTax Online:
2. Click on "Tax Tools" then click on "Tools"
3. Select "Delete a Form" 
4. Search for your Form 1095-A (and Form 8962) in the list of forms
5. Click on the trash can next to your forms you are deleting

To delete your form using TurboTax Desktop, you will:

1. Click on "Forms" in the top right of your TurboTax screen to switch to "Forms Mode"
2. In your left panel look for your Forms 1095-A (and 8962)
3. Click on the Form
4. Click on "Delete Form" near the bottom of the form displayed in your right panel of your TurboTax screen
5. Click on "Yes" to confirm the deletion

You can then go back and re-enter your Form 1095-A information.  You can easily get to these by clicking on your Search icon, typing "Form 1095-A" into the search bar and clicking on the link "Jump to Form 1095-A."  Make sure to answer all follow-up questions regarding your form.
