Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Try going out of your program. Delete your cookies and clear your cache. Go back in to your program. Also, try changing your browser and turn off pop-up blockers..

Some of the most common reasons for not being able to efile are:
- Your return contains overrides.
- Your return has no taxable income.
- You have a W-2 where Box 1 is blank or the box 16 amount is greater than the box 1 amount.
- Your return has IRS forms or schedules not on the accepted Forms and Schedules list.
- Your return contains forms that are not finalized. You can check form availability here: Tax form availability tool,
- Your return is for a prior-year or amended return.
Many nonresident and part-year state returns cannot be e-filed. TurboTax will let you know if it must be paper-filed.
Some other things you can try are:
Please make sure you are using the latest version of the program and that you run all updates to the program when you log on.
If you are using TurboTax Online, open the program and select "Check for Updates" from the Online menu near the top.
If you are using a Mac, leave and reopen TurboTax. If there are any updates, you'll be prompted to download them.
Helpful Troubleshooting Tips:
- Use a wired, high-speed connection when updating. This will be more time-efficient and minimize data corruption.
- Try again if your connection drops in the middle of the update. It should pick up where it left off.
- If you're having issues updating, try a manual update.
