Where do I enter a 1099-Q?

Form 1099-Q reports distributions and benefits from Coverdell education savings accounts and 529 plans. It's reported on the tax return of the person whose Social Security number is on the form.
Select your product to enter your 1099-Q in TurboTax.
TurboTax Online
Go to the Form 1099-Q screen under Deductions & Credits.
Follow the screens to enter your info.
TurboTax Desktop
Go to Federal Taxes.
Go to Deductions & Credits.
If asked How do you want to enter…?, select I’ll choose what I work on.
Under Education, select Start or Update next to ESA and 529 Distributions (Form 1099-Q).
Follow the screens to enter your info.
