I attend a vocational training school, however they do not allow for FAFSA, would this be considered my first year of college?

I am in a nursing school program at a private school. They do not participate in FAFSA or other government grant programs. Is this considered an eligible school?

It doesn't matter how you answer the first year of college question. *

To be eligible for the tuition credits, the course must be taken at "an eligible institution". The school should be able to tell you if it is an eligible educational institution.  If they issue a 1098-T they are probably an eligible institution.

Enter your school at the link below, to see if it's on the dept. of education list.
