How to change the amount I entered for my tuition and enrollment fees? I accidentally put $0 and it's not letting me change it

 

Have you filed your taxes yet?

 

If you have already filed, you can return to the program to make corrections without amending only if your return is being rejected. If your return is accepted, to edit your tuition information, you will have to amend it. You can not return to the program to change. 

 

If your return got rejected for any reason, you can return to the program/account to edit the tuition information along with other changes and re-submit it. For instructions, click here Fix a reject 2019.  You do not need to file an amendment 1040-X.

 

I haven't filed for 2019 yet. I just want to make the edit before I submit.

Here's how to edit the 1098-T in TurboTax:

• From Deductions & Credits
• Expenses and Scholarships (form 1098-T) hit Update
• From the page that says Now Let's Gather The Additional Education Expenses
• Hit Continue. You will need to continue through several screens until you get to the screen that says Your Education Expenses Summary click Edit
• At Here's Your Education Summary you can Edit, Delete or Add New School
