I dissolved my LLC in Dec2019. The 2019 LLC Fee $800 was paid March19. But filing Final 568 was missed in 2020. I see FTB notice for $800 for 2020. What are my options?

I dissolved my single member LLC in Dec2019. I had no revenues in 2019. The 2019 LLC Fee $800 was paid March19. But filing Final 568 was missed in 2020

If I understand correctly, your paid your annual limited liability company tax for 2019 on March 19, 2019 but did not file your 2019 Form 568.

You received a notice from the Franchise Tax Board that you did not pay for 2020 annual limited liability tax by April 15, 2020.

If you dissolved your LLC in December 2019, you do not owe the 2020 annual limited liability company tax because your LLC did not exist in 2020.

You should file your final 2019 Form 568 and tell the FTB that you do not owe $800 for 2019 because you dissolved your LLC in 2019. Include a copy of the Form 568 you are filing.

If your notice has a fax number, faxing is preferably to mailing. Send any mail certified with return receipt so you have proof of delivery.
