I can not find where to enter Schedule C on my tax return. Please help.

You appear to be using online Self-Employed.   Here's a shortcut to get to Schedule C; i.e., the Business Income and Expenses section.

• With your return open, in the top right click on Search.
• Enter the term Schedule C without quotes and click the magnifying glass icon.
• Choose Jump to Schedule C and that should start the business interview.
• If you've already answered some business questions previously, then you'll likely come to a Business Summary screen instead.  Click on EDIT to bring up the business interview.
  

clicking the Search field only takes me to a 1-800 number that I've been on hold for over an hour.  Can anyone tell me how to navigate myself to the schedule C / 1040 filing?

You can enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe or Premier but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Self Employed version.

This is exactly what is happening to me. I've done this 10 times and it continues to take me to the 800 number and NO ONE ANSWERS!! Customer Service for Turbo Tax is VERY VERY BAD. You want to automate everything and eliminate human beings....not good. Ms Wong - Feb 19, 2020

Since the topic of this thread is where to enter a Schedule C (Self-employed business), here's an alternate method to get there:

• Open your return.
• Once the return is fully open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then TOOLS.
• In the Tools menu choose the big

  blue button

  Topic Search.

• In the search line where it says "I'm looking for...." enter Schedule C without quotes.
• You should then see Schedule C highlighted in the list.   Choose it and click GO.
• The next screen will likely ask:  "Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?"
