How do I enter state taxes directly into turbo tax,?

Are you referring to state taxes paid throughout 2021, as in estimated tax payments?  If so, you'll enter those payments in the federal portion of your TurboTax interview.  The program will automatically transfer these taxes paid to the state return.  See the TurboTax FAQ I'm linking below that will give you full instructions.  Look specifically for the place to enter State taxes paid.

Where do I enter my estimated tax payments? 

I believe you want to enter estimated taxes paid to your state. If so, you enter them in Federal section of TurboTax, and then Deductions and Credits, then Estimated and Other Taxes Paid, then Estimates. Choose the category of taxes you want to enter from the list.
