If this is for Utah, you may need to add   WTH   to the end, all capitals.

I did this for my UT tax form 1099-MISC, and it removed the error that was being given.

If your employer's state ID is not 14 digits, you have three options:

Beginning with the given Employee ID,

  • Add WTH at the end
  • Add zeros at the end
  • Add zeros at the beginning

UT id is [phone number removed]WTH.   this IS 14 digits and it is the correct one according to the State and the IRS.  Is this a Turbo Tax issue alone.

I noticed the program on the W2 portion allows all 14 numbers/letters to be input and shown in the box.

However when you input it inside the 1099-R portion it will only show the numbers.  The WTH is not seen unless you arrow over.

This is a Software issue for some downloads or for all ?
