Why cant I access my 2018 returns if ive already payed for them?

I had to itemize deductions last year since I bought a home. and they need info from my 2018 taxes? Why is turbo tax not transfering my info from last year over to this year?

Your 2018 data can be transferred to 2019's return if you use the exact same account and user ID that you used for the previous year.   That transfer has to occur at the very beginning of your 2019 tax preparation.

 

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.
