Unless the fed or state specifically asks you to mail them something you usually will not need to if you efile the return ... there are a few exceptions for some supporting docs but the program will tell you what to send and where.    So what does the filing status indicate when you log in ?  Does it say "Ready to Mail"?

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section.  In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

Use this TurboTax website to check the status of an e-filed return and if it was either accepted or rejected -https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status -https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

Thanks  I have efiled and the returns have been accepted.  No one has asked for the paper filings but after i efiled there was a statement that i needed to print and mail copies.  the link to "explain" just dumped me into your basic forum with no relevant answers.  Thanks.  I'll wait to see if they prompt me for a hard copy.

To print and mail your returns?  Maybe something else?  Maybe it wants you to send in Estimated payments?  Or do you need to mail a Renters Credit form or Property tax like for Minnesota?

this is the message.   Even though you efiled, you're still required to print and mail these forms.

And did you click on Print Required Forms to see what it wants to print?

I e-filed both Fed and State standard deductions, refund due from feds and owe the state.  Must I still send a hard copy of both Federal and State.  I know I must send voucher to State.
