Greendot Bank is the company that handles the refund processing if you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund. Greendot also is the issuer of the Turbo Pre-paid Visa card.

Somehow the return we're working on got linked up with Greendot.com for an additional $39.99!....How do we reverse this after the e-file went through? We have direct deposit & do not need the Greendot service. We need our $39.99 back!

Yeah im not sure either. Im supposed to get a specific amount back from my federal. However, the amount given to me is a lot smaller. I remember signing up with the extra stuff for like 50 bucks. But the amount different is over 200 dollars...

If your IRS-issued tax refund comes in around $35 or $40 less than the amount shown in TurboTax, it's probably because you used the Pay With My Refund service to pay your TurboTax fees. There's a separate processing fee for this service, which is deducted from your federal refund in addition to your TurboTax fees.

My IRS website said my refund was already sent but I haven’t seen any pending refund on my account yet and I remember paying my filing fee with turbo tax green dot company. How long do I wait for it to get in my acct?

Green Dot bank issues the Turbo Visa Debit Card and does not handle the refund processing if you asked to pay your TurboTax fees from your refund. That is TPG and typically there is not a delay once the funds are sent from the IRS to TPG, the funds are then sent without delay to your bank account (if it is a valid one). If you checked the status of your refund from the IRS Where's my Refund? page and it says that your refund was sent to your bank, but TPG hasn't received and released your refund please be aware that the IRS may indicate funds are available days before they are released to TPG and other banks industry-wide.  Please see this for more information: https://help.sbtpg.com/hc/en-us Here is the link to check your refund deposit: https://taxpayer.sbtpg.com/login.

To view the banking information you completed for your direct deposit please follow the steps below:

  1. Sign into TurboTax if you haven't already.
  2. On the Tax Home screen, scroll down and select Add a State (don't worry, we're not adding a state) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
  3. In the left menu, select Tax Tools then Print Center.
  4. On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year's return.
  5. On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2019 federal returns and Include Government and TurboTax Worksheets (optional), then select View or Print Forms.
  6. The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2019 Federal Tax Return next to Balance Due/Refund.
  7. You can view the state refund information on the State Electronic Filing instructions.
