Credit Karma don't know nothing, Turbo saying doesn't look like I applied even though I had one of their agents on screen share showing me where to get the advance. Bank recording says wasn't approved for max amount but was approved for lesser amount but when I talk to the banks customer service, they say they don't see our application. So idk wtf to believe at this point. 1st yr filing with Turbo Tax and don't know if I'll be back next year.

Hello @Denise82

It is 2023 and it seems that the same problems persist. Was your problem ever fixed? Do you have a number that I can call to fix this?

Thank you! Fernando

Hello @HeatherPLO ,

Thank you for reaching out.

I am beyond frustrated because when I submitted my taxes last week on Friday, Feb 24th. I was offered the Tax Return Advance if I opened an account with Credit Karma. I opened the account, and a few hours later, the IRS accepted my tax return. Both the Federal and State returns were approved on the same day. But then I kept waiting for the advance. I contacted the credit karma support team, and they told me they had escalated the case and someone would be contacting me within 24 hours. Nobody ever did, and the worst part is that I reached out to the Turbotax or the Credit Karma support team every time I've called they have no idea what the advance is or why my advance is on hold. One of the representatives told me I should reach out to the IRS to ask about my advance. So my advance is still on hold, and nobody can tell me why it is on hold or when the advance will be deposited in my account. I'm starting to worry that my return will also be an issue because every interaction with your support teams lacks any kind of knowledge on the tax advance or my tax return.

Please double-check your return to make sure it includes a copy of the Refund Advance. If it doesn’t, you likely didn’t go through all the steps, or you accidentally selected another payment method which will automatically cancel your RA application.

I did. I was supposed to get my advance according to your marketing 15 minutes after my return was accepted. Tomorrow is seven days and counting. What worries me the most is that nobody in your company can tell me why the deposit hasn't been made or when the deposit will be made, if at all. How can you run a program nobody in your customer service knows about? As you can see from this community thread, I am not the only one.

The refund advance is sent out accordingly as long as you were approved. Prior to filing the return, it is a preapproval. Please click here to speak with Credit Karma, so they can check if they have your information for the refund advance. @nando619

Hello Carissa,

I've called and chatted with your customer support every single day. They have no idea what the advance is and keep referring me to the IRS or TurboTax. I've tried to explain, and the only thing I get is, " We don't have any additional information. Can I help you with anything else" If you read the comments on this thread, you will see that it is the same story. People are waiting for their advance, but nobody seems to know how to help them or even what the advance is. My taxes were accepted last Friday, the Credit Karma debit card is already on the way, and the advance is still pending. According to your marketing, the advance is supposed to be in your account 15 minutes after your tax return is accepted. I'm already at seven days and counting.

Hi Kelly,

During my tax filing process, I never once used the "Live" section or even clicked on the Live button, so I obviously never intended to use it.  It's the fact the when I went to check out, you system automatically sets you on the "Premium" package and unless you change it back to "Deluxe", which I was using all along...you will pay $179!  This is a totally shady business practice, getting people to pay extra if they're not paying attention at checkout.  And the fact that you can't refund the difference is total B.S..  You can keep the extra money you got out of me, but you have lost a customer (8 years in a row) and I will make sure I spread the word about this shady business practice.  I hope it's worth the extra $100 to a Huge company like TurboTax!

Mike
