Turbo Tax TPG Bank shows my refund was funded on the 8th, but I haven’t received it in my account. Why hasn’t it been sent to my bank?

It can take up to 5 business days for your bank to deposit your tax return into your account. If the status in Where's My Refund? shows “Refund Sent”, the IRS has sent your tax refund to your bank for direct deposit. If you don't receive it after 5 business days, then you should contact your bank. If it has not been received after the 5th business day, then you would need to contact the IRS directly.

 

If you have elected to have your TurboTax fees paid from your tax refund, you may check the status of your Refund Transfer by visiting Santa Barbara Tax Products Group

The bank in question is the turbo tax TPG bank. I opted to have my refund sent to a credit karma card and the TPG Bank shows the money has been funded, but hasn’t ever been sent to my credit karma account. I need to know where my refund is and this all falls back onto turbo tax. Please read the question carefully before responding.

My show it was Funded February 7th and I still haven’t received it. I spoke with the IRS and they said it was funded to TPG.  I elected to use my taxes to pay for the fees because I used full service. In TPG it shows unfunded when that’s confusing especially since the IRS sent it over a week ago. I just want my refund.

This my first year having fees taking out even though I always qualified for free file. I’m not sure what happened but it kept saying I needed to pay $39 to be able to add certain things. I thought this was going to be turbo taken the fees. Now I’m so upset. If I new this I would have paid them with a card. I see fees adding up to almost $180. I also read so many reviews about weeks passing in TPG still hasn’t sent funds out.

I've recently found out mine was direct deposited also on 8th, but my bank couldnt find it.

Come to find out, they claimed my account was closed and charged me 30.00 to mail me a cashiers check.

Then told me to contact turbo tax to refund my 30.00. Turbo Tax are not refunding that me..

My account was not closed either.. they just mailed the checks out on the 14th for those that was to get direct deposit and didn't.

If you signed up for Pay With My Refund, your refund will be handled through the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG, formerly SBBT). You can go to the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group website if you need assistance with your refund.

My refund was sent through tpg but when filing I was told the the amount of fees I would have to pay was 166$ but I didn’t even get my full refund from the irs and they took our way more than $166.

TPG needs to be investigated. All this scamming and taken out fees people are unaware of. They seem shady and it’s thousands or more people with the same issues over and over but TurboTax still using this company. Turbo has been the only company I’ve ever used but next year I’m probably changing to a different company. Who wants a big amount refund sent as a check that may get lost if the direct deposit information is correct. @AudreyD76

What instructions are you discussing?  When you look at Turbo Tax order details you are not shown these other fees that are included in your "so called bank" you use.  This is ridiculous.  We already pay enough to file our own taxes let alone having to pay more out of pocket for you to use a bank that charges an arm and a leg in fees which we are not told about!

I've already done that. They issued me a check and told me to contact Turbo Tax for the extra 30.00 they took out my money for issuing me a check..

It explain this one to me because I'm calling me a lawyer right now as we speak because I called TPG this morning and they lied and said the IRS has not funded my tax return but just 30 mins ago I called and the lady I spoke said the IRS funded my tax return yesterday so where my refund because online it th

Before you speak with SBTPG, you will need to check with the IRS to see if they have the release date for your refund and ensure it was sent. If they do, you can check with SBTPG on that given date.

 

You can visit the IRS website to track your refund.

I just checked SBTPG bank online and it shows refund sent to my bank on the 18th. Haven’t received direct deposit yet.  I also received an email from turbo tax saying taxes are on the way to check my bank the next day. I called me bank and there is nothing pending.. why is it taken 2 days to DD when my fees have already been taken out? And when can I expect Turbo Tax to send my return?

Same here !! But I do have a refund date of the 22nd of feb. But when I go on tpg it's saying funded meaning it's been sent to me

Exactly! I know how you feel, I’m not sure why it’s taken this long? I’ve filed with turbo tax for the last 8 years and never had an issue. This year is different. The money should be easily available as soon as it’s sent. I’d like some answers.. next year I’ll pay it if pocket to file to prevent this from happening.. I’ve paid over $200 to file

Your right about the funds and turbo tax, but Santa Barbara says there website was not working right, and when I called them I had to press the number stating I was a business with a customer just to get through bc it would not take my social number when i put it in. 

BTW its Feb 20, 2022 and yet IRS claims my deposit was made on Feb 7th and I still have not got a check nor a direct deposit. Fingers crossed and praying I will this week..

Thanks Turbo Tax for all that money taken from my refund and not making sure things were in line for your customers..

Y'all  deserve a kick in the bottom for stressing us out..not only are we paying for the stress and other services but alot of us still has not got our money, but turbo tax made sure they did..

Way to look out for your customers,

I’m in the Same exactly situation. Like it was sent from the irs on the 7th what’s going on . It’s frustrating especially when they point fingers at the IRS when they have done there part.
