Do you have a question or need help with something?

Yes, if you owe the IRS back taxes, or certain other federal debts, they will take the amount from your refund.

If you need to know what you still owe, you can check your IRS online account, or Treasury Offset, if your debt is something other than back taxes.

Follow this link for your IRS account, and this one for Treasury Offset.

Do you want a copy of the return to see the refund amount?

How to Access prior year online returns
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-access-my-prior-year-return/00/27010

If you can't get the side menus to open up to access the prior year..... You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2023 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2023. I had to go though about 12 screens.

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online. So you need to make and keep your own backups.

Or request a transcript from the IRS

Or get a copy of your return using form 4506

This is usually because there were errors on your return or a tax offset for child support or back taxes etc. was in effect. Only the iRS can answer the reason but you should have received a notification.

call the iRS, Turbotax gets no info about refunds if you mailed your return or after acceptance if e-filed. There's nothing it can do.

  1. Call 1-800-829-1040 between the hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM local time.
  2. Press “1” for English or “2” for Spanish.
  3. Press “2” for “answers about your personal income taxes.”
  4. Press “1” for “questions about a form you have already submitted or a payment or to order a tax transcript.”
  5. Press “3” for “all other questions about your tax history or payment.”
  6. Press “2” for “all other questions about your tax history or payment.”
  7. Do not input your Social Security Number when the recording tells you to.
  8. Press “2” for “personal- or individual-tax related question.”
  9. Press “3” for “all other inquiries.”
  10. Wait to be connected to someone at the IRS.
