Which is correct JeanneO?
you said Thursday this,
Yes, if you successfully filed your federal tax return and Turbo Visa Debit Card was listed as the direct deposit method on your federal tax refund for 2019. Please see these FAQ's about information from the IRS regarding anticipated economic impact payments:
Then yesterday you said this,

Which is right?
@Molliepops02 We are providing updated information as it comes available. Currently, we are still waiting for IRS guidance regarding updating or providing direct deposit information for the economic impact payments and how they will be distributed to these type of accounts. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details. The links @JeanneLO provided will be updated as new information is available.
Any updates? They just announced direct deposits will go out next week so I’m hoping there is more information now.
It is still to be determined if the deposit will go through the third party processing bank. We are currently working with the IRS to determine how the stimulus payments will be issued. We will update this page when more information is available:

If the IRS does not use the TurboTax card, please see the information below the IRS has posted:
The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do?
In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
Please see the information from the IRS below, regarding the stimulus checks:

This is the same information I've been getting. And it says nothing about sending it to the turbo card. If the IRS can send tax money to the card, why can't they add the stimulus to the card?

I used turbo debit for 2019 taxes and direct deposit for 2018 taxes - which place would I see the DD?
If the IRS does not use turbo debit card for DD will they automatically reroute to 2018 DD info or am I going to have to wait to see a paper check?
I tried to use the link to update my direct deposit information, but it would not allow me to since I already filed 2019 taxes.

We may have to be patient a little as the IRS is working fervently to get information out on this issue. We all hope something definite will be out this week or early next week.

How is it that the first round of stimulus payments were released today and there is STILL no definitive answer for those of us that have been asking if our stimulus payments are going to be applied to our Turbo Cards? Why is this so difficult to answer? You'd think applying the stimulus payments to a card that was good enough to receive our refunds on would be a no brainer but for NO ONE to have an answer by now is ridiculous. So when are we pathetic nobodies with pre paid cards entitled to know how and where we will receive our stimulus payments?? Please someone figure this out!!
Follow these sites for the most up to date info. Things are changing rapidly. Not all questions have been answered yet.
I was told by a turbo tax employee today, 4-09-2020 that the stimulus checks will not be loaded to your turbo tax visa card. It will instead be mailed to the address you have on file with the IRS.
We are also waiting for information about the development of the portal the IRS announced that they working on to give taxpayers a way of updating their banking information.
I hope so too.. cause that wouldn’t make sense if they wouldn’t accept that as a form of direct deposit
That’s really dumb that turbo tax isn’t letting the irs load the payment into the prepaid cards or whatever is going on I most likely will not choose turbo next year rip another customer.. can’t count on no company cause everyone has different regulations
I've heard so many different answers. One day someone will say stimulus will go to where your refund was sent. Next day someone else says you have to have a legit bank account in order to receive direct deposit. What gets me however is that non of these tax professionals have been able to get a concrete answer. If it gets put on my Turbo Card, great. If I have to wait for a paper check, whatever. It would just be nice to know once and for all. Especially considering they have begun releasing them. Even though I was happy with my refund going to a prepaid card, was easy actually, I think to avoid any future BS next year I'll just make sure I open a regular bank account
Seems to me that no one really knows WTF they are talking about. My sister called a friend of hers that works for H & R Block and asked if her stimulus would be deposited onto her Emerald Card and she was told yes. If these cards are good enough to receive our refunds on then what's the issue with getting stimulus on them? They have routing numbers, they are capable of receiving payroll direct deposits so The IRS needs to get their sh*t together and apply them to where we got refunds
I think it's bull**bleep** TurboTax don't know what's going on
