Should I ignore the message "there are errors in your return" when printing the preview of the official copy?

The federal and state review sections indicate that my return is 100% accurate. When attempting to print the preview copy of my official return, I get a message that my return has errors. Should I ignore the message and go ahead and file?

Don't file a return until you are satisfied/convinced it is correct.

Certain errors will prevent e-Filing.

I get this every year. Go back to Federal and run the final review. I always have a W-2 box (Box 10) that should be blank for e-filing but TT fills in $0.00.  Just delete the zeroes and re-run the review.

I had the same problem this year.  I went back through my federal return error check and there were no problems, as found previously.  When I went back to my state return for an error check, I found that Turbo Tax was not indicating an error on tax forms that it pulled up, unless you scrolled all the way through the form and looked for pink highlighted line items.  There was no indication of an error at all above the form.  You could go right to the next form if the error happened to be further down the page than showed when the form opened.

I think Turbo Tax should zoom right to the error when it pulls up a form, let you correct it, then take you right to the next error (if there is another one), etc.

So, scroll through the forms that Turbo Tax pulls up in error check, and look for those pink highlighted line items on the form.

Great response, this fixed my error.  I had a question that required I answer whether I had any foreign holdings, on a blank form.  It was not allowing me to file until this question (unneeded!) was answered.

Going thru the error check in forms mode was the key. Thank you!
