I filed on january 28th. It was accepted later that evening by the irs. My refund status on the irs refund tracker on February 9th says my refund was approved and sent to my bank on February 9th. Turbotax and the tpg site that takes out fees are still only showing my taxes as being accepted. my bank verified my dd information on my forms as correct, but no deposit has been received or attempted. It is now March 2nd, i cant get through to the irs, or to tpg who takes out the fees. Been trying to get an answer for two weeks. Two questions... Why hasnt turbotax and tpg updated my status along with the irs? And where the heck could my money be? Im getting very upset and angry.
Just called tpg... And the phone line is saying my ss number is invalid... What the heck is going on here?
TurboTax does not receive any updates on your refund after the return is transmitted and accepted by the IRS. If you used refund processing, you can check the status of your refund by clicking here.
If i dont get some answers from turbotax or tpg by friday i am going to file a fraud claim with the irs. I will never use TurboTax again. After 8 years filing with them, i have had no issues until this year.
I have done this everyday for 12 days. Nothing has changed even though the irs sent the money to the bank on the 9th of February.
Since you did elect to have your TurboTax fees paid from your tax refund, you may check the status of your Refund Transfer by visiting Santa Barbara Tax Products Group. The website will ask for certain information for you to check the status of your refund.
In this forum, we would not know why the SBTPG phone line is stating your SSN is invalid. Outside of contacting them, contacting the IRS directly, if possible, right when they open, would be the only other way to get a status on your refund.
As @BrandiLO1 posted above, we don't receive any further updates once your return has been accepted.
I was on the phone everyday last week for hours. TT cant help, they say its something with tpg.... well after 6 HOURS on the phone with TPG, my refund supposedly was never sent to them or not recieved. It is two days shy of being a month since the IRS says my refund was sent to the bank. I checked all my information, checked with my bank, checked with TT, only to be told it I have to contact the IRS. OK>>>>> so I keep trying and keep trying to get a person at the IRS.... And they DO NOT answer the phone. Im at my wits end, almost $4000 just lost in the electronic age or sitting in someone elses account somewhere and I cant even get thru to anyone who can trace the refund. I am dying here! Will never use TT again. I GIVE TF up.
