Need 2020 tax file

I have used Turbo Tax for the last 10 years.  Every year I save the return to a file on my computer and print a pdf copy.  However, 2020 I somehow only saved and printed a pdf copy.  My Turbo Tax for 2020 is not on my computer.  Is there a way to convert my pdf file into something that can be used when I begin filing my 2021 return?  Can I scan it?  Do I need to scan federal in one file and state in a separate file or can I scan both in the same file?

Because I have the printed Turbo Tax return for 2020, could reenter the data, but I wanted to lessen the possibility of errors.   Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you can transfer a PDF of your 2020 tax return prepared with TurboTax software into your 2021 return. Please see the below help article for instructions.

Great answer!  However, I do have a small question.  I will need to scan to a PDF, will that make a difference?

Thank you.

That will not make a difference. It would still allow for the transfer.
