If you have not received your refund from the IRS, you can find out where your refund is by going to Where's My Refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

You can also download the mobile site IRS2Go App:

https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs2goapp

If it has been over 21 days since you have filed electronically, and six weeks since you mailed your return, you can contact the IRS at 800-829-1040 directly.

That is the site i went to that only says approved and not sent; DD was 02/19; Question is, what could be the possible causes of this

Only the IRS can tell you why there will be a longer wait or a delay. If it is over 3 weeks and you have no idea why your refund is not yet in your account, you should call the IRS at 800-829-1040.

Did you end up receiving your refund? And how long did it take

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions

It can take up to 5 business days for your bank to deposit your tax refund into your account. If the status in Where’s My Refund? shows “Refund Sent”, the IRS has sent your tax refund to your bank for direct deposit. If you don't receive it in after 5 business days, then you should contact your bank.

@Snazzy72 If it has been more than 21 days since your return was accepted, please reach out to the IRS for more information about your refund. Here's how you can reach someone: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/refund-status/help/what-if-my-irs-refund-is-taking-longer-than-21-days/00/26080

Does it say to say sent first on the website then you’ll receive it?

I paid to get the refund 5 days earlier, the app said I will receive it 02/11 (it is not 5 days earlier) and I haven’t received any refund yet, the refund date in the app disappeared and you will still charge me the 5 days early refund, also paid the agent and there nothing I can do in the useless app, just talk to a useless AI I will never file my taxes with intuit again

@Mario Abimael It seems you misunderstood the "5 day early" timing.

https://turbotax.intuit.com/early-tax-refunds/

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account.   If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

It is normal that the refund isnt even accepted if I e file using TT 2 months ago?

@Mario Abimael

Did you e-file?  Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?” Or “Rejected?” Or “Printed?”
