I filed both my State and Federal returns on January 23, and the state is showing no information about it. It shows that they were both accepted less than 24 hours after filling in turbo tax site. However, it's showing nothing when I check the status via State website. If it was accepted I would assume it would say something about it, right? It has me a bit worried since it says you should see and update within 3 days. My federal was accepted, but the status bar was replaced shortly on the IRS site with a message stating that due to eitc/ctc they are held by law, and to not check back until "mid/end of February". My question is state held as well due to that law? It has been several years since I have filed a tax return due to not working. I filed electronically and have it being directly deposited into my bank. I know it's still early, but I am just worried. If I don't get it before the end of February then I am without a doubt going to lose my home. Any replies would be greatly appreciated. 🙂 Thanks in advance!
It is not uncommon for there to be no record of a state return until the state entity begins to review and process the return. You can track the status of your state return using the help article below.
