Is the TurboTax 2020 download version updated to properly complete and efile an amended 2020 return?

Yes, it is but you can do a manual update just to be sure. See How do I update my TurboTax CD/Download software program?

Followed your instructions and was able to enter data to amend my 2020 return.  When I finished, there was a message that I could not efile until August 2020.   Is that accurate?  If so, do I just keep the amended file return and wait until august and then go in and file?  Thanks much for your help.
