I have two emails stating that I would be getting a refund of all service fees from TurboTax due to an error in attempting to apply for the advance refund payment, the first email states that this will occur automatically and no action is needed on my part, and to allow 3-5 business days for it to show into my account - this email was sent to me on Feb 4th. After speaking with Intuit, and then my bank, and then Intuit again and then submitting a refund for fees form which was recommended by a Intuit rep, I was denied and Intuit is not honoring what was sent to me in the email.
Additionally, I was sent a second email on Feb 9th that I would also be credited a 15$ credit to my new credit karma account, and once again no steps are required on my end, it will be automatic. when calling Intuit, every person i've talked to is clueless as to these emails, and could not help me, even though they reached out to another department and spoke with a Manager.
Intuit is not honoring the emails sent to me, which I did not request BUT since I was given these emails, I have already spent the money that was said to be on it's way to me - that is, 29$ for my TurboTax online fees and 15$ additional credit to my credit karma account. I need these deposited to me and I need Intuit to hold true to their word.
Is this such an oddball issue that even Intuit employees do not know how to address it? anyone i've talked to on the phone doesn't even know what i'm talking about.
We’re in the process of reimbursing all who were affected. Within the next 24-48 hours, those affected will receive a credit for $36.25 or $37.25. If you were affected, look for a deposit (in the bank account associated with your return) labeled, “Remaining Federal Refund Due".
If you don't see that deposit in a few business days, please contact us at customer support.

thank you so much for a legitimate answer, this is the first that someone from Intuit actually has some info on it. I did receive the 15$ credit to my credit karma account today in the evening, so I can see progress is being made. I'll be patient for the other service fee refund knowing that it is in the works. thanks again!
Hello any update for the service fee refund? i've only gotten the 15$ courtesy pay to my credit karma but i have not been refunded my service fees onto my original payment yet.
We’re aware of an issue related to your Refund Processing that may have caused you to see a smaller-than-expected refund.

What is the TurboTax phone number?
@Bankai1
that is not what i'm talking about, I am supposed to get a refund for my service fees, the actual turbo tax deluxe fee's it's self, and was supposed to happen nearly a month ago now... I have not been refunded my service fees as stated in the email that I got on 2/4/22, from my order on 1/22/22.
If you feel you need a refund, please contact customer support at the link below to discuss your service fee refund.
I've been down that road already, and was already declined for that refund request. I need someone who knows what they are talking about, the only person who has even shown a sign of knowing what they are talking about, was the first rep who responded in this post.
Intuit isn't honoring what they said they would, which was to refund my service fees within 3-5 business days, here we are a month later... no refund!
For those service fees, you would need to contact TurboTax customer support. You can ask to speak with a manager and let them know that you have an email from Intuit stating that you would receive the refund. I would also mention to them that you have already been made aware that this is a known issue, but has yet to be addressed.
Katina, you're the only one from Intuit who has had any clue about this and can give me a good response.
what is the update with this? I still haven't been refunded my service fees....
Nope i've been down that rabbit hole a few times already, each time a very long phone call with Intuit employees having no clue what i'm talking about. Intuit didn't hold true to the emails I was sent, very pathetic.
Intuit still has not deposited my service fee refund of 29$ like the email said, it has been a very long time now...
