Initially on taxcaster app I we were supposed to be collecting $26,000?

I want a professional to review my 2018 taxes in which there was a $17k difference

That is a huge refund that seems unlikely.  But you are posting from TurboTax Live.  You can arrange for Live help with your questions from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific time.
