If received my rejection on April 18, then copied the forms from April 17, signed them, wrote a check and mailed it all in, wrong?. now I am thinking that was a mistake.

If I mailed everything in what happens to all the information you have?

Nothing.  If it was rejected it didn't go anywhere.  You can just leave it.  We probably could have helped you fix it and resend it.  Why did it reject?

@garry-mary

What you did is perfectly acceptable so there is nothing to worry about.

If IRS adjusts your tax return for any reason, they will let you know.

There won't be any adjustments if you mailed a complete and accurate tax return.
