Your state and federal returns are processed by two separate government entitites. Your federal return is processed by the IRS. Your state return is processed by your state's Department of Revenue. One return does not impact the other and you should not expect to receive both refunds at the same time.

To track your state refund please see this FAQ: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3300211

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

STATE RETURN

Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
