That should not be a problem, as long as you put the correct routing and account number. IRS  asks for those two set of numbers.

@Martinez2021 If you entered the wrong bank account number, more than likely the IRS will not be able to deposit your refund to your account. The following help article will walk you through what to expect: What if I entered the wrong bank account for direct deposit?

If your account number was incorrect, your financial institution will most likely reject the deposit. If that happens, you will then be sent a check. Please see the FAQ posted above by AshleyLO for more information.

I heard that the check comes at the end of the year. Or it comes sooner?

It will usually take about 21 days from the date of acceptance, not the date you first filed your federal return.

You can track your refund through Where's My Refund.

Please refer to the information below.

When will I get my IRS tax refund?

I got an email saying taxes are done and to tell my experience what is that supposed to mean? I checked my bank account and doesn't show anything there . Or is it a check?

@Martinez2021 The email you received may have just been telling you that your taxes were accepted by the IRS. We do not have access to your account to check so to be sure that your refund was issued, you can check the status on the Where's My Refund? tool.  Here, the IRS will provide you with an estimated date in which you should receive your payment. Keep in mind that if you entered the wrong bank account number, the IRS will likely issue you a check. For more information concerning your specific account, please reach out to the IRS
