For your records, or to file by mail?

I paid $36 and was told by turbotax to pay an additional $13 to the state. I need to print the form and mail it in to pay unless turbo tax will help me pay the fee to the state. As it stands now, it says my state tax was submitted but wont' let me look at it.

To be clear, I paid $36 to Turbo to be told I owe  $13 to the state. My patience is running thin....

Where are you seeing the term "submitted"?  Did you try to efile originally?

I did federal first, then state later. It says both are accepted now

So your Missouri return has already been filed, and you just need to print it out?

Yes to mail payment with it

So you need to print a voucher?

I guess? Again, Turbotax charged me $36 for my state return and now I'm left trying to figure out how to finish up my return. It's not clear

If I could view my state return I filed earlier today, it'd probably help clarify matters

It may have a form called "Filing Instructions."  I'll tell you 3 ways to print.  See if one of them has what you need.

If you efiled, you shouldn't have to mail in a complete return, I wouldn't think.  But I know nothing about Missouri.

So i would just mail in a check with no other info? That doesn't seem right...

No, it may just need a payment voucher and a check.  That's why I asked you about voucher above.  Some states may also have electronic payment on their website, etc.
I don't know what Missouri requires.

OK, where can I get the payment voucher?

I'll tell you how to print your return.  See if it has the state filing instructions and a voucher.   If you need further assistance after that, you can phone TurboTax Support.

FAQ:  What is the TurboTax phone number?

I'll tell you 3 ways to print.  If the first 2 don't have everything you need, you'll need to use the more complicated method.

Log into your account and go the 2016 Tax Timeline
Scroll to "some things you can do".   You should be able to download/print the PDF, which is a basic version "as filed."  That PDF should have both the Fed and State returns.  Does that have what you need?

If the regular PDF doesn't have what you need, there should also be a link there for "download all forms and worksheets" .   Does that second larger PDF have what you need?

If not, try this alternate method which is to open the return and print from the PRINT CENTER:

  • In the 2016 Tax Timeline, go to Some things you can do.
  • Choose Add a State.  (you don't really add one; that's just to get the return to open up.)
  • Once the return is open, then click on MY ACCOUNT up at the top.
  • Then choose PRINT CENTER.
  • Choose to print/save/view.  You may have a choice for a PDF "as filed" and one with "all forms and worksheets".  I usually save both.
NOTE:  Do NOT use this method to open a return to make changes to an already-filed return (one that has actually been mailed or efiled.)   If you later need to make changes, you have to go through the formal amending process, and your return must start off exactly as originally filed.
