Once you have filed, you cannot change this; you will ultimately get a paper check. What will happen is basically the IRS will try to deposit the refund into the account on record. Since the information is not exactly correct, the bank will reject it and send the refund back to the IRS. Once the IRS gets your refund back they will issue you a paper check and send it to the address that you put on your return. You can learn more about this here:https://www.irs.gov/help-resources/tools-faqs/faqs-for-individuals/frequently-asked-tax-questions-an...

@Itzelgonzalez9530

Did you already e-file?  If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section and change how you want to receive your refund.

Once a return has been accepted by the IRS you cannot change how you want to receive your refund.

If you e-filed:

Banking information for direct deposit is wrong

If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected.  If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it.  The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS.  Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.  Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.

Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information

@Espino3130 If you've already filed your return and mistakenly entered the wrong bank account information, there is nothing that you can do to correct it for your refund. The IRS will send you a paper check in the mail. See more here: What if I entered the wrong bank account for direct deposit?

If your return has not been filed and accepted yet, you can make the corrections within TurboTax.

When you proceed through the File section of the program, you will be prompted for how you want to pay your taxes.

Methods to pay your federal taxes

If your return was already filed and accepted, please click on "a payment option through the IRS" on the link above to be directed to the IRS website.  This will allow you to update your payment information directly with the IRS as it can no longer be done within TurboTax.
