I’m not able to access my GR city tax form even though my MI state tax form has been approved. It says “DO NOT FILE

I tried calling and talking with a specialist and they said it might resolve itself in the next few days but it’s been over a week since my state taxes were approved.

You can keep track of the form and when it becomes available with this state availability form.

I’ve looked into this and it looks like it should be available but it still has the same message “do not file; form not final.” I also know that turbo tax didn’t e-file on my behalf.

The message DO NOT FILE or DO NOT FILE, FORM NOT FINAL will appear on your printout if:

  • The print version of the tax form hasn't yet been finalized in TurboTax.
  • Your federal return was printed before e-filing.
  • Your state return was printed before your federal return was accepted by the IRS.
  • The form is available but you haven't downloaded the latest update.

Please see this TurboTax FAQ for more information, Why does DO NOT FILE, FORM NOT FINAL appear on my printouts?
