I'm filling out a return for an Estate. How do I input the identifying information, e.g. First Name, Last Name, DOB, etc.?

Are you using the Desktop Business program?  

 

The small business program (TT Business) is for 1120 Corporation, 1120S Corp, 1065 Partnership or 1041 Estate/Trust returns and will not do your personal 1040 return.   It  is a separate program from the Desktop Home & Business program or the Online Self Employed version.

 

Turbo Tax Business  is not available to do online or on a Mac.  You can buy the Window's version here.  And you can have both TT Business and TT Home & Business (or any personal version) installed on  your computer at the same time.

TurboTax Online is only for individual tax returns.  You will need to purchase TurboTax Business for Desktops to complete the estate return.  The estate return will need a return filed from date of death to 12/31, if that is the year end you choose for the estate.  If you are preparing the decedent's final individual tax return and they passed away in 2020, you can do that with TurboTax Online.
