I haven’t seen my state return yet. it’s been about a week since i was supposed to receive it & im just not sure what to do or what’s going on

Yes, you can check the status of your state refund by contacting you state's tax agency. Follow this link to find your state's website. 

 

Scroll down and select your state's name from the chart.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.
