Sorry but 2021 is closed now and are locked. When 2022 opens in December you will be able to access your prior returns. If you need to finish 2021 you have to download the .tax2021 file from Online and finish in the Desktop program.

If the returns are done you can print them out to mail. If you need to finish them, you need to download the tax data file .tax2021, .tax2020, etc. and open it in the Desktop program for that year. If you paid for the Online version you can ask support for the Desktop download. You will need a full Windows or Mac computer to install it on. Or buy the Desktop program here,

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
You have to print and mail prior year returns. When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.
Important! Mail Federal and State in separate envelopes and mail each year in separate envelopes.
