I have 2 years of tax return documents missing. I did not use a computer to do my taxes I used a phone. How would I go about getting those 2 back?

It shows that I had filed in 2018 and in 2020 as well by the receipt and the date but it does not show the return or the amount on both federal and state. I know the returns were done but no longer show up like the other years do.

You may have more than one User ID.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

 

Start the 2023 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

 

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

 

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

For a fee of $30 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

The phone app is an access point for Turbotax Online.  Tax returns prepared using Turbotax online can be accessed from any computer with a web browser, and do not "live" on your device itself.

 

If your current Turbotax Online account is missing some years, it is possible that you had a different account (different user name, password).  The other expert has given you some suggestions of how to find those accounts.  In some cases, you might be asked to pay to unlock old returns, if they are contained in an account you have not used recently.  If you have been using a different account, you may be able to call customer support to get them to unlock the old account for you.

 

You can also obtain copies of the returns you filed from the IRS.
