I had a saved 2020 tax return, which i did not file with turbo tax but paid for it, i need to amend the info on it and then file 2021 tax return, i do not see previous

I do not see my old filed tax returns here, and i had saved my 2020 tax return on turbo tax online, i could see it till Dec 2021 but not anymore. i had to file my 2020 tax returns outside of turbo tax, but still prepared them on turbotax, and saved after paying, did not file 2020 from here. i need to know if i file for 2021 here at turbo tax, it will still pick up from my previous years data? How i can feed new data into TurboTax without loosing my old Numbers form previous returns many years of returns??

It is not too late for you to fix and file your 2020 return----but you have to use the CD/download to finish it and file it by mail.

You will be able to access the return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it.   But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.

Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2020 returns is now permanently closed.  Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2020 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac  (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.

If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.

They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday-Friday.

If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late.  If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe.  Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

Thank you xmasbaby0. My 2020 taxes have already been filed outside of turbotax because certain required forms were not available on turbotax, but i did save a copy on turbo tax (did not file it from turbotax), i am just wondering if i start my 2021 here, how will turbo tax pick up my old data from earlier turbo tax online filed returns, while it is missing my data from 2020? How i can fill this gap and know if turbotax will be able to complete my 2021 returns online? I have complex tax situation, but i think turbo tax can manage it, as long as i know how to link the data correctly. Is there a way this can be discussed with some one on phone, so i can choose the correct package?

Only a 2020 tax file can be transferred to your 2021 return.   You will not be able to use any earlier tax file to transfer data.  Sorry.
