I filed my taxes January 29 and it said accepted within a half hour after filing, now it's been 22 days and it still says accepted but not approved or anything else. Why has the status not changed at

Same situation! Accepted on 29th of January....and nothing....not even a valid update.   I can't help other than to say I keep reading that another cycle is to be refunded tomorrow thru Saturday.  Hopefully that's us!

I'm sorry your refund is taking so long, but you are one step closer to receiving your refund if accepted. The status on the IRS website may change and state we cannot find a record of your return or  that you have put in incorrect information when tracking it, but this can all be normal in the process. Sometimes it can take more than 48-72 hours to process. We can't give you an exact date or time. TurboTax is not connected to the IRS or state department(s) of revenue refund tracking tools. We don't receive real time updates from the IRS. The IRS releases most refunds within 21 calendar days after the e-filed return has been accepted (received), not 21 days from the e-filing date. If accepted by the IRS, you can check your refund status below:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Some refunds are delayed due to the PATH Act. If you have filed to receive these tax credits, please see the information below:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/refund-status/help/some-federal-refunds-will-be-delayed-due-to-the-path-act/00/26970

 The IRS expects the earliest EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or debit cards starting February 27, 2019, if these taxpayers chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.

Same here. I think it's ridiculous. It's more March 19th and no update, even when I sign in my actual irs.gov account.

@Isaiaf

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
