I filed my taxes in March, it was approved and I still have not received my return.

  • The folks at the IRS, many of them anyways, don't want to return to work. The IRS has coaxed them with bonuses and hazard pay to no avail. It's nice to see a stand-up outfit like the IRS is ready to roll with the punches in times like these. Meanwhile lots of us have continued to work throughout this ordeal for little to nothing extra. I want my **bleep** refund.

Sorry but the return was ACCEPTED for processing not approved ... once the return has finished processing then the IRS will APPROVE the refund for dispursel ... how long that will take is unknown.

The dates on the TurboTax Tax Home website are only estimates based on the IRS target.

The IRS target is 21 days from the tax return being Accepted to issue a tax refund.  It is NOT a Guarantee

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.

To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund

Due to the pandemic and the stimulus payments being handled by the IRS, the IRS has delayed the processing of many tax returns.
