I don't know wtf is going on but I have never had a problem with my taxes.This is the first time I have used turbo tax and im sitting here after 30 days with no info.

I was told to guess on the last 2 covid payment numbers and that the irs would fix it if it's wrong.I don't think im using this again....Highly Pissed off.

If you are expecting a refund then  join millions of others.

 

The IRS is running behind due to COVID and a huge amount of early tax returns being filed this year.

They are so delayed that they postponed the filing date from April 15 to May 17.

21 days is not a magic number - it is just an average.

TurboTax only gives the general IRS (most returns are processed within 21 days) date. The actual date is known only by the IRS. TurboTax also does not adjust the general date for anything on the tax return. TurboTax receives no feedback from the IRS after filing.

The IRS says most refunds will be issued within 21 days - some faster, some longer.
(Most means more than half so many take longer - MUCH longer)

Each tax return is evaluated on it's own merits. There is no first-in-first-out. Two similar tax return submitted at the same time can have totally different processing times based on IRS criteria for examining tax returns that the IRS does not divulge.

Some returns will be held for ID verification or other verification. The IRS will send a letter if they require more information to process your tax return.

so you are blaming TurboTax for your lack of ability to look at your bank documents to see what was deposited

I agree I’m so friggin pissed n the inside my taxes have been sitting for over 10 wks I call and the IRS doesn’t know a **bleep** thing this is beyond friggin ridiculous I hate it here

Update to first message,Tomorrow is week 12,Its all thanks to TURBO TAX AND ONE OF HALF ASS STAFF.Told me to guess the first 2 stimulus amounts I had received because and I quote THE IRS CAN EASILY FIX THAT IF ITS NOT CORRECT.Now my tax return is sitting in an Error pile that will not be looked at untill last...12 F ING WEEKS AND STILL PROCCESSING! THANKS TURBO TAX If yall expecting for me to pay you then I suggest you think twice.Oh we will have a supervisor handle this and call you back.So far heard that twice.I will never isr this service again.HR BLOCK IM SORRY FOR ABANDONING YOU!

I was told by the woman helping me that I did not have to worry about it and to guess the numbers.And fyi that account was hacked into and was closed shortly after....I did what a tax professional told me to do.

If you "guessed" then no matter which DIY program you used this year your return would still be stalled in the processing department charged with verifying this and other items on the return this year.  When you were told to guess the assumption was that it would be verified by computers  and NOT HUMANS which are once again in short supply this year.    The IRS pushed all these returns to a department that is ill equipped to handle the volume of returns they are being asked to review and hence they are backed up by millions of returns in a department that usually sees only a fraction of that amount each year.  Patience will be needed by all again this year.
