I do side work and made just over $10,000. Do I need to claim this on my taxes? We are married, filing jointly. This was my only income. We already added his W2.

If you file a joint tax return, you must report all your income, no matter how small.

Even if you had no other income, a self-employed person must file and report their self-employment income if it is more than $400.
