you have to include that self-employment income.   You need to use online Self-Employed or any version of the CD/download software to enter self-employment income and prepare a Schedule C.

If you file a joint tax return, you must report all your income, no matter how small.  

 

Even if you had no other income, a self-employed person must file and report their self-employment income if it is more than $400.
