I can't review my returns. I click "view returns," and in a new window, I see "Preparing your documents This may take a few moments." After hours, still no returns!

I've tried reviewing only my federal and only state, but still no luck.  I've signed out and back in, but the same problem.  This has never happened before.  help please!

Yes, you can review your tax return in TurboTax Online before filing it.

If you just want to review the 1040, this is how to see it before paying:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Select Tax Tools from the left-side menu, then Tools.
  3. Select View Tax Summary in the pop up box.
  4. Select Preview my 1040 from the left-side menu.
  5. You will see the Form 1040 with Schedules 1, 2 and 3.
  6. When you are done, select Back from the left-side menu.

If you want to see the complete return, with all forms and schedules, you can see it after you have paid for the return, but before you submit it for filing. This is how to do that:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Select Tax Tools from the left-side menu, then Print Center.
  3. Select Print, save or preview this year's return at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Select Pay Now on the next screen and follow the prompts to pay and print or save a copy of the return.
  5. With either method, you can make any needed changes to your return as long as you haven't submitted it for e-file.

thank you, but when I go to the print center and ask for the forms to be printed, it still takes me to to the window where I'm told my documents are being prepared, this may take a few moments.  and I get no forms!  I have already paid for my returns.

Sounds like your computer may be experiencing a loop.  Let's clear your cookies, history and cache' then reboot.

Cookies are small files that temporarily store data on your computer. We use them to personalize your experience so you see information you already entered and not items that are irrelevant or repetitive.

On rare occasions, they may make your browser think you already did something that you still need to do. To fix that, you'll need to delete (clear) the cookies from your browser.

Each browser has a slightly different method for deleting cookies. Choose the browser you're using:

Thanks, but that still doesn't work.  I know I successfully cleared my cache and cookies, etc., because I had to re-enter my password for my email accounts, but I still can't review my returns.  I even re-started my desktop.  I just get the screen with the message "preparing your returns, this may take a moment."  I've waited and waited, but no returns.

I’m having the same issue. It has never happened before. It does the same when I attempt to access it in my phone. Did you ever find a resolution?

Are the following steps not working?

  1. From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
  2. Select Tax Tools
  3. On the drop-down select Tools
  4. On the pop-up menu titled “Tools Center”, select View Tax Summary
  5. On the left sidebar, select Preview my 1040
