TurboTax is not using NetSpend this year. There is a new Turbo Prepaid Visa Card for people who don't have any prepaid card at all.
If you have already have an active NetSpend prepaid debit card, you can still use it. I can tell you how, if that is your question. Are you simply asking "how do I use my pre-existing prepaid debit card to get a tax refund?" If so, I'll provide the steps.
Oh, wait a minute. On a screen where it asked how you wanted to get your refund, did you already apply for the Turbo Prepaid Visa Card, answered some questions, and were accepted? And they are sending you the Turbo Prepaid Visa Card already? Please explain more about what you mean above.
And I assume you haven't already filed, correct?
Couple weeks ago I have received the prepaid Visa card already I activated it earlier this afternoon I am finished doing my taxes on TurboTax and at the end there before I click yes I want the card that i have sent to me I'm trying to find a way of entering my existing Visa prepaid card information in to have it loaded
Have you efiled a TurboTax 2017 return this year, and if so, has it been accepted? Or is your return still not yet filed?
Why do you not want to use the new Turbo Prepaid Visa Card you chose and activated? Changing midstream is making it more complicated than it should be. Why did you not want to use your existing NetSpend Card as the selection initially?
I am at the end of the process it's wanting me to check one box either having it direct deposit into a bank account or to have a NetSpend prepaid Visa card sent to me or to get a paper check I don't need another card sent to me I already have one it's not giving me the option to load the existing card I have
You said the screen says "NetSpend." Does the screen actually use the term "NetSpend", or does it say "Turbo Prepaid Visa Card". Please clarify that. It should not be saying NetSpend.
Mines say netspend I never signed up for netspend but my refund is being sent to that card why what type of scam is turbo tax running
@mizz5
TurboTax is not using NetSpend this year as it's featured offer when filing. It's using the new Turbo Prepaid Visa Card, which is a completely different card company. On a screen that asked you "How do you wish to get your refund?" was it actually showing "NetSpend" or "Turbo Prepaid Visa Card"?
Did you get a NetSpend card last year, and if so, did it use the deposit info from last year?
No I choose turbo tax this year and my more about refund page says netspend
OK. I'll mention this to TurboTax to see why you are getting a mention of "NetSpend." In the meantime, you can phone them for more info on what you are experiencing. They'll be able to ask you questions and troubleshoot with you in realtime.
FAQ: What is the TurboTax phone number?

@mizz5 :
Are you able to take a screen image of the screen that mentions a NetSpend Card? If you do, be sure to redact any personal info from the image, since this is a public Internet forum.
You cannot post the image in a comment. You can post it as an "Answer" below where it says "Contribute an Answer." When you click that to post an answer, it will open up a data field. Below that you should see a link for "attach file." Again, be sure any personal info is removed before posting.
I cannot see what screen you are looking at, but if it's asking you to choose between "direct deposit" or the "TurboTax Prepaid Debit Card" you recently applied for, then if you wish to use your pre-existing prepaid debit card instead, you would choose "direct deposit" and then customize it. A deposit onto a pre-existing prepaid debit card IS a direct deposit because it uses an underlying bank routing and account number.
See these instructions on how to set up direct deposit to a pre-existing prepaid debit card:
First, make sure your pre-existing prepaid debit card is still valid and
active. Then get your card's underlying bank account and routing
numbers specific for your card. Either contact your card's Customer Service, or log into your
online card account to verify the card is still good and to get the
banking numbers. Be sure you have the right bank account and routing numbers for your card. They
will differ from the card number shown on the card. Do not use the number on the card.
Ask your card's Customer Service if they accept a direct deposit of tax refunds from the IRS. Some prepaid debit cards might not, or may have limits on the amount that can be deposited from a tax refund. You can ask your card's Customer Service about that, or perhaps there is information on that topic in the FAQs on your card's website.
When the TurboTax program asks you how you want to get your Federal refund, choose "direct deposit". You will enter the bank account and routing numbers specific to your card, and indicate that it is a "checking" account.
You'll also need to know and enter the name of the underlying bank that the routing and account numbers were for. Ask your Card's Customer Service or check the FAQs on their website.You can use your NetSpend account as long as you have the account number and routing number for direct deposit. If you do not have it, you will need to contact NetSpend.
You would then enter the information in the direct deposit information on your return. @1bammafan
Here's a couple of more tips:
1bammafan:
Be sure not to use the card account number that is shown on the card. That's not the same as the bank deposit account underlying your card. See
@ CarissaM
answer above.
And in addition to entering the bank account and routing numbers specific to your card, you'll need to indicate when asked in TurboTax that it is a "checking" account (it's considered that for the purpose of direct deposit).
You'll also need to know and enter the name of the underlying bank that the routing and account numbers were for. Ask your Card's Customer Service or check the FAQs on their website.
