I already filed and I got a 1099 INT from a savings account I made 49 in interest. I closed those bank accounts and forgot about it. Turbo Tax won’t let me amend ?

You cannot amend until your original return has been fully processed by the IRS.  The form 1040X that you will need will not be available until late February.

$49   OR...49 cents???

 

You don't amend for 49Cents, because that will round down to zero and not be used anyhow.

Yeah, usually banks don't issue a 1099-INT for less than $10, but I've seen that a very few do so.

Yes, you will need to amend, but do not amend until your original return has been fully processed to avoid unnecessary delays.
