How long did it end up taking? I loaded $295 @ Walgreens @ 11am and it's not there yet. But I paid a bill and sure enough they took that off lol
I loaded money to my card at Walgreens and it's still not on my card. How long does it take???
@Channie519 It should be available immediately. If you need additional assistance, please call to speak with a Turbo Card customer service specialist. Go here for steps to reach a live representative when you call.

It took about 30 min. Also it only let me upload 500 at a time.
I deposited money on my turbo card at Dollar general, for $400 and they told me that it takes 24 hours to get the money on the card, and I told them no it takes 10 minutes to a half an hour. So I go back today and they try to tell me that it sometimes takes 48 hours. So now I have to go there tomorrowAnd meet with someone to try and get my money back

Can you please clarify your question, are you waiting for a tax refund to deposit it onto your card?
@Cassiemcrae Once the IRS accepts your tax return, it usually issues refunds within 21 days. See this FAQ regarding When your funds will be deposited on your Turbo card.
What's the point of loading the card if it's going to take up to 2 days? Or just only hours?
I paid the fee to load because I need it NOW. I could have just waited the same amount of time for free!
Just another way of screwing hard working people out of their money!
Everyone; you should all just get a brick and mortar bank. I am. I'm sick of helping keep the super rich; super rich!
@JacobIN2IT This thread is an old one----no one has posted here for over a year. We do not know what card you are talking about or what exactly you are trying to do. Can you provide some details?
Yes I saw how old it was but that doesn't matter. It's the same thing. Turbo Tax prepaid card. I have only added $ one other time but today I needed to pay a $15 bill; I paid $5 fee to do it but I waited and waited and waited, until finally the place had to close and everyone went home. So I had no choice but to go home as well. As SOON as I pulled into the driveway I got the notification that the money went through.
If I would have waited until payday I could have gone and paid it. But no, I took 3 hours off work, drove 53 miles and spent $5 to add $15; with gas I used up, time off work and the $5 fee, I lost about $70 because TURBO TAX said it takes about 10-30 minutes to load on the card ...... I'm pretty sure I have cause to **bleep** about it!
I could go there but some things are better left unsaid.....
@JacobIN2IT That sounds like a miserable experience. Going forward....if you find yourself in a similar situation----are you aware that you could have gone into almost any store like a Walgreens or a grocery store, etc. and paid cash for a prepaid Visa card or prepaid Mastercard from the gift card rack, and then you could have used that card instantly to pay a bill online?
Not to minimize your pain but when you use a prepaid debit card you must make allowances for the time the banking systems to complete their tasks. The system at the place where you added the funds had to cycle thru to acknowledge the funds being deposited and then the debit card bank also had to cycle thru to accept the deposit and post to your card. These "cycles" are not instantaneous and may be off set from each other by minutes or as much as days. If you were to put money in a brick and mortar bank today it also could take days to be available for use so you must plan better in anticipation of possible delays.
But I could also go into a brick and mortar bank and talk to a human who can FIGURE it out there instead of dealing with someone over the phone. Peace out TurboTax and TurboTax workers... I'll never use y'all ever again!
Besides I found a cheaper place to get my taxes filed. TurboTax are thieves from all the money they NEVER refunded from different merchants over the last 3 years.
Oh yes, true story but what can I do about it?
Obviously nothing, but I can leave so it won't happen again 🤷
I recommend anyone here to get a regular bank!
If you can don't pay any tax prep fees ...
If you qualify you can use one of the 8 IRS FREE FILE options (AGI has to be $73K or less)... https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free
